One of my great Twiiter friends Bill Mitchell(@askbillmitchell) and I were having a discussion this week how even on a Windows platform I run as much open source software as possible. I said for doing everything with the exception of the operating system(I run Windows) and my office product (I run office 2007).
Bill said why do you not try running Open Office.
Bill has a great point when I think about it. As a result for a one week period I am going to run Open Office at home for everything I do. The ONLY thing I will use Microsoft Outlook for is email since I do run my email from a hosted Microsoft Exchange Server.
A review of Open Office with Screen Shots and my comments will follow a week Saturday.
