Well Day 1 with Windows XP sp3 does not seem to have made any difference to the way my home PC is running. As a result I will be installing it on my laptop as well as my work desktop tomorrow. More comments to come.
The install went painless for me. It took about 30 minutes to do the install. So far everything is running fine:)
